As the leading consortium partner, MARMOR HOTAVLJE d.o.o. has received co-funding by the European Union, from the Recovery and Resilience Fund, for the implementation of the project “Technologically improved natural stone elements – BEYOND NATURAL”. For the purpose of this project, MARMOR HOTAVLJE d.o.o. has formed a development-oriented consortium, together with the companies TRIIS d.o.o. Železniki and AUGMENTECH d.o.o.
The objective of this project is to create a new, innovative product from natural stone with improved mechanical and physical properties, using new technological processes that consider all current environmental and climatic trends. These new technologically improved natural stone elements will represent a technological breakthrough: we will create a fibre-reinforced decorative natural stone panel with a thickness of no more than 10 mm, with the possibility of curved surfaces and transillumination. The project marks an important contribution in the transition to a circular economy. This new product containing technologically improved marble elements will make a much more efficient use of natural resources, thus reducing the consumption of primary raw materials and increasing the use of by-products. A high degree of recyclability in the entire cycle will enable a more efficient consumption of natural resources.
Duration of the project: 27 October 2023 – 26 October 2025.
Total financial value of the project: EUR 578,100.90.
Co-funding rate: EUR 162,345.15.
Own assets: EUR 175,809.15.
